This American bar and restaurant is named after a grandmother. She is described as a real-life southern charmer.

Irene is definitely known as a perfect go to spot for instagram photo ops. The neon sign against the ivy hedge wall is a great background for friends and family.

The food was awesome! I had their popular “Half Chicken” as my main dish. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Austin area. You will definitely enjoy the food and atmosphere.
